Living in Jonesboro is like having a long talk with an old friend or a new companion--sometimes it's warm and chatty, sometimes it's face-to-face confrontation in defense of strongly-held beliefs. Strangers here will hold a door open for you, or smile and wave as you pass by. Jonesboro residents really are friendly!

Newcomers to Jonesboro often comment that the air seems cleaner than where they came from. Perhaps that's due to the century old oaks, maples and elms that occupy our residential areas. Or, maybe it's because the city fathers have always been careful to attract only nonpolluting industry to Jonesboro. Whatever the reason, it enhances the multitude of outside activities that Jonesboro residents regularly enjoy.
On any given day, Jonesborians can, and do, hike, bike, canoe, fish, swim, hunt, pick wild blackberries, see Elvis' home, eat barbecue or quail and return home with hand-loomed quilts or jalapeno peanut brittle. All in all, it would be difficult to find a better place to live. Come to Jonesboro and see for yourself. But whatever you expect to find, expect to love it! Please browse our site, and feel free to say hello by emailing us with your real estate questions and needs. The Brenda Dacus Team 2529 S. Real Estate Contracts >Contingency Sale
Sellers may be reluctant to accept an offer that is contingent on the sale of another property. However, such a sale can be structured to minimize the risks.
The seller should put a limit on the amount of time that the buyers have to accept an offer, and they should keep their home on the market during that time. They should also reserve the right to require that any contingencies be met within a short period of time, ideally 24 to 48 hours, if they get a second offer. This is called a "First Right" contingency.
Contingent sales can work well for the sellers. The buyer is not in a position to ask for concessions on price or terms and may be able to get interim financing. Each situation is different, however, so go over the terms with your real estate agent before accepting a contingent offer.
